Dr. Madeleine Kerrick, Executive Director, EdInsights
EdInsights is pleased to announce Dr. Madeleine Kerrick as our new Executive Director!
Dr. Kerrick has been a key member of the EdInsights team since 2018, contributing to its growth and impact by securing over $6 million in multi-year grants and contracts and leading complex evaluation studies. She has also been instrumental in establishing EdInsights as a trusted partner for equity-focused evaluation in higher education across California. Her experience spans research, professional learning, and strategic planning aimed at transforming educational systems across the state.
Dr. Kerrick holds a master’s and a doctorate in developmental psychology from UC Santa Cruz and a bachelor’s in child development from Sacramento State. She brings a strong commitment to antiracism and fostering equitable educational opportunities and outcomes for minoritized student groups. Dr. Kerrick is recognized for her expertise in institutional transformation and partner engagement.
Her vision for EdInsights includes advancing sustainability, strengthening communications, and deepening the center’s work in equity-focused research and professional learning. Dr. Kerrick emphasizes fostering collaborative partnerships, supporting staff development, and leveraging data-driven approaches to address equity issues in education.
As Dr. Kerrick steps into her new role, EdInsights looks forward to building on its strong foundation and continuing its work to support equitable and student-centered education across California’s public education systems.
