Sophia Morrison

Research Assistant

Sophia Morrison is a Research Assistant with Education Insights and an M.S. Psychology–General Research student at California State University, Sacramento, where she studies in Dr. Zach Schudson’s Psychology of Gender and Sexuality Lab. She earned her B.S. in Psychology at CSU Sacramento, where she was a McNair Scholar researching the relationship between pornography use and racial self-esteem. Her work has been presented at SAEOP and the UB Undergraduate Research Conference, earning first place in the humanities category at SAEOP 2025. Now in graduate school, Sophia is expanding her research on pornography through a social psychology lens while developing her thesis. Outside of academics, she enjoys Star Trek, cross-stitching, graphic novels like Saga, and playing Magic: The Gathering with her close-knit group of friends.
