Dear Colleagues,

Madeleine Kerrick

Dr. Madeleine Kerrick

As we wrap up 2025, we’re reflecting on what this year has encompassed for EdInsights. As a center that prides itself on its people-first approach, we’re excited to share some of our staff’s favorites for the year. EdInsights is fortunate to have an exceptional and diverse team behind all of the work that we do.

We are also proud of the partnerships and engagement we’ve fostered over the last year, including our connections with diverse funders; our recruitment of California Education Policy Fellowship Program Fellows who hail from organizations across the state; the CSU Student Success Network engagement of students, staff, faculty, and administrators from all of the CSU campuses and the system office; and our evaluation efforts engaging employees from every California community college and district.

While the current sociopolitical climate is extraordinarily tumultuous and has created barriers to the advancement of equity efforts in higher education, EdInsights remains steadfast in our purpose—to advance antiracist policy and practice in higher education so that students from minoritized groups have equitable opportunities and outcomes in their public education and career journeys. We look forward to collaborating with you to continue our work advancing equitable outcomes for California’s students in 2026.

Wishing you Happy Holidays and a wonderful New Year,

Madeleine Kerrick, Executive Director
